Seth Fein is a historian and filmmaker. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he lives and works in Queens, where he founded and operates
Seven Local Film. His recent documentaries include:
The Actor in His Labyrinth (2022),
Small Kitchens (2021), and
Between Neighborhoods (2018), a feature-length diptych contemplating the present and past of immigration and imperialism, social and corporate globalizations, that orbit Robert Moses’s Unisphere in Queens. His
published scholarship focuses on the transamerican history of film and TV. He’s taught film and history in Brooklyn College, Barnard, Columbia, and Yale, and been a fellow in multimedia history in Harvard’s Charles Warren Center.
