The Los Angeles Review of Books is a nonprofit, multimedia literary and cultural arts magazine that combines the great American tradition of the serious book review with political and cultural essays, profiles and interviews with leading scholars and artists, and a host of multimedia offerings including interviews, short documentary features, and podcasts.



We are seeking a Los Angeles-based volunteer to join the website production team, which oversees the content at The volunteer will work in our content management system to load up articles, make edits to existing pieces, and do research and editing work related to content. Volunteers also have the opportunity and are encouraged to learn about or work in other departments at the magazine.

5-10 hours work/week. Training will take place at our Hollywood office, after which working remotely is a possibility.


Meticulous attention to detail. Some website content management familiarity recommended but not necessary. A strong interest in literature and the arts highly recommended.
