Glynn Pogue

Glynn Pogue is a 25-year-old writer with wanderlust from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. BedStuyBrat, her AOL Instant Messenger name from back in the T-Mobile Sidekick days stuck, and it’s still her moniker. Much of Glynn’s work centers around her community of brown people and brownstones as she deals with race, class and identity. Her prose and culture writing has been featured in Guernica, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Jezebel, Essence, and National Geographic, among others. The VONA Voices fellow and New School MFA graduate is currently at work on a memoir about coming of age in her beloved Bed-Stuy. Find more of her work at glynnpogue.com.
