Semezdin Mehmedinović is a Bosnian poet, essayist, and novelist. He studied comparative literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo and has worked as an editor for newspapers and weeklies, as well as on the radio and television. His poetry collections include Sarajevo Blues (1992) and Nine Alexandrias (2003), and his 2017 novel, My Heart, was released in English translation in 2021. Since 1996, he has lived in the United States.
