Miljenko Jergović is a Bosnian novelist, short story writer, poet, and columnist. His debut poetry collection, Warsaw Observatory (1988), received the Goran Prize for young poets and the Mak Dizdar Award, and his landmark collection of stories Sarajevo Marlboro (1999) received the Erich Maria Remarque Peace Prize. His other works include Buick Riviera (2002), The Walnut Mansion (2003), Ruta Tannenbaum (2006), and Kin (2013).
