Anne-Marie Slaughter

Anne-Marie Slaughter is an American lawyer and foreign policy analyst. From 2002 to 2009, she was dean of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University before leaving that post to serve as the director of Policy Planning in the US State Department. She is currently president and CEO of the New America Foundation, a think tank devoted to public policy issues. She is the author of The Idea That Is America: Keeping Faith with Our Values in a Dangerous World (2007), Unfinished Business: Women, Men, Work, Family (2015), and The Chessboard and the Web: Strategies of Connection in a Dangerous World (2017).
